The Association utilizes a wide-range of resources, including its contacts in state and federal government, the Internet, and the industry, to assist members. If your firm is a member of The OVLA, your access is 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for answers or problem solving. Often The OVLA can answer a question or solve a problem within 24 hours if clear and detailed information is provided via telephone, fax, or email. Sometimes members who ask The OVLA for assistance identify vehicles leasing industry-wide problems or issues. One such problem, the use of bank letters of credit to guarantee to Ohio county clerks of courts’ title bureaus dealer (leasing, new, and used) checks as payment for title and tax, is now before the Ohio General Assembly as House Bill 39.
